Henderson Mine and Mill, on behalf of Climax Molybdenum Company, is pleased to provide annual scholarships to hardworking and deserving local students. This year, we were excited to award two 2021 Climax Molybdenum Scholarships in the amount of $1500 to the following local-area students in Clear Creek County:

Ivana Bovadilla – Ivana is a recent graduate of Clear Creek High School and will be attending Colorado School of Mines. Being financially independent, she worked hard to balance school and work life and stayed motivated despite many obstacles by always remembering her goals for the future. This scholarship will help Ivana reach her dream of becoming a mechanical engineer.

Elsie Gothman – Elsie recently graduated from Clear Creek High School as Valedictorian and Student Government President. Having grown up in the community,  she has a passion for volunteering and helping people in need. As Student Government President, she worked to change the culture in the school by promoting an atmosphere of kindness, acceptance and support. Elsie will be attending Duke University in the fall to achieve her goal of becoming a biomedical engineer.
